I go to the Akita International University.
In this university, students have to do internship.

When we do internship, we earn 2 credits by experiencing the real job.

I have heared that the system of internship in Japan is slightly different from
America or Western countries' system.

There are many web site for introducing internship oppotunities to Japanese students.

Some of this university students go to some companies to experience internship about two weeks this summer vacation.

I hope that I can do internship when I am in China.

Reading Critically, Writing Well

I use this textbook in a first year composition class.

I have a lot of language use problems when I write essaies.

This book includes tones of good exapmles and guides. After reading one essay about some topic, I read a guide to write an essay.

Now I am writing a reflection essay. My topic is about time management.

Until tomorrow, I have to rewrite the 1st draft because I wrote too much specific my experiences in the 1st draft.

I will read this textbook and think about my 2nd draft. Maybe I need to put general stories about time management.

Genders situation in Japan

Gender is another category that is not important in Japanese culture now. Historically, Japanese society has valued men more than women and considered men more rational, competent, and entitled to various social advantages. I think that the conditions of women have changed a lot.

In the 1800s, women were not allowed to own property, or enter politics. Japan had experienced the dramatic events such as Meiji Restoration and WWⅡ. The people under the emperor worship were exposed to the United States democracy. After the war, the country became a democratic nation. Gradually, our point of view is changing. There are some examples. Family structure has changed from large scale to small scale. Paternal rights have weakened. Human moral has crumbled. Women have started to get jobs. Some young people postpone their marriages. People get a job for wealthy life.

The Japanese elderly have a financial issue. They are worried about public sentiment. They hesitate to express their feelings to the family. Unlike the western culture, Japanese single seniors have difficulties when they date. The elderly also need human relationships not only with family members but also with community members. Without self-encouragement, they can’t start a new career or hobby. To improve self-esteems for both young and old people, Japan should educate people to respect others’ feelings in a different way.

my 3rd presentation

Last Thursday, I gave a presentation in Speech communication class.
I spoke these contents.

Good afternoon. My name is Chika Matsukura.
I am mixed twins. since I grew up with him,
I am interested in “The Mental Differences between Men and Women.”
So today, I have been invited to talk to you about it.
First, I will talk about
I. The development of male and female roles historically,
II. The function of male and female sex hormones
III. The influence of culture on the human body
And finally, I conclude my presentation.

So let’s move on to my first part that is
the development of male and female roles.
As you see this picture, men and women had different kinds of jobs historically.
Mainly, women had child rearing jobs.
On the other hand, men had a job that the job was to get food.
Therefore, men and women developed their mental thoughts differently.

This brings me to the second part which is
the function of male and female sex hormones.
According to Oxford Advanced Learner’s dictionary 2000,
hormone is a chemical substance produced in the body or
in a plant that encourages growth or influences how the cells
and tissues function.
However, male sex hormones and female sex hormones are different.
For example, male sex hormones encourage a person to be muscular.
Female sex hormones encourage a person to be calm.
Therefore, both brains and sex hormones influence males
and females action and thinking differently

My next example is the amount of male and female sex hormones.
This picture is the amount of male and female sex hormones.
The above numbers represent ages.
The vertical numbers represent the amount.
This is a male sex hormone. This one is a female sex hormone.
As you can see, men product much sex hormones more than women.
Therefore, men think about sex more than women.

Let’s now go on to consider the influence of culture on the human body.
In fact, cultures limit the natural function of sex hormones.
Since men did not have so much child-rearing jobs so that men had extra time.
They developed cultures such as politics, studies, economics, and religions.
Religions and economic system created marriage styles.
To tell the truth, men need a number of women to leave their next generation.
So the marriage system is against men’s body nature.

I would like to sum up by saying men and women developed from the same human seed, but men and women act and think differently because of human body natures. Thank you for listening my presentation.

Today I read this e-mail mazagine.

Terror Hit London Three explosions one after another took place in London's underground system and one hit a double-decker bus Thursday morning. At least 33 were killed and hundreds were injured, Scotland Yard said.

I got socked because the terrorists killed many people who lived their lives usually.

Education is very important when people bring up their children.

It is historical wonderful human culture.

Education influence individual personality.

I want to know why the terrorist believed their action was right.

I took an interesting self analysis test.

The publisher believe that each person has three types of aspects in his/her psychology.

One part is called Parents part.
Another part is called Adults part.
The last part is called Children part.

The Parents part includes the father part(critical part)
and mother part(constant part).

The Adult part is one. This part represent independence.

The Children part includes the free children part(selfishness part)
and obedient part.

I found that I am not taking rest enough so I lack expressing affection to people.

It was very interesting test!

I had a oppotunity to watch the video of

Japanese traditional dance

Then I think that

old Japanese people had a really good sence of humor.

You can see each different job between men and women during dance.

The Japanese old culture remained us what job was for men and what job was

available for women.

2. Men mainly support women dance.

The Japanese traditional dance starts by music and songs.

Most dancers are women and most singers are men.

Men give the dance atmospher for dancers.

3. During dance, the movement of women is tiny but beautiful.

I respect Mr.Inazo Nitobe.
He published a famous book Bushido.
He stayed U.S. and German when he was a universitystudent.
He introduced the Japanese culture to the other country inEnglish.

At that time, he thought that the Japanese govermentstrategy
was misunderstanding because non-Japanese peopledidn't know
about Japan anything.

He came up the idea that he wanted to publish this book.

Finally, I knew the joy that I can feel happiness
when I give something to people, compared to receiving.

I read many Christian stories during the religion classes.
For instance, when a person wanted to exchange a greeting
with another person, he or she couldn’t see a greeting from another person.
So the person was disappointed.

On the contrary, one person wanted to exchange a greeting with someone.
The person started to greet when he or she meet somebody
with a smiling face and everyone returned a greeting with a smile to the person
and the person never disappointed.

Reading these stories, I came to know what the meaning of
“There is more happiness in giving than in receiving.”
After understanding the meaning,
I have adopted the giving idea in my usual life.

Consequently, I have received unexpected rewards
when I meet people.
Smiling at everybody is to give me his or her responses
and to encourage my motivation that is to be a positive person.

I am not a Christian; however, God effect on my morals.
Christianity made my view of life enhancive.

At first, I gained patience because
I had a time to think about what freedom is.
I believe that freedom requires self-responsibility.
Freedom is not equal to behaving selfishly.

I realized that aiming for a goal by encouraging myself
is difficult but wonderful.
What most surprised me are the Holy words that
“God loves all people as his children equally.”

I was impressed by this because I was such a person
who sometimes did my best, while I didn’t do my best at other times.

For example, I studied hard to get a high score for an important test.
On the other hand, sometimes I didn’t do anything
and slept a lot and watched TV at home
because I didn’t want to do anything.

When I looked back the attitude that I didn’t do anything,
I thought that the selfish attitude is bad as a high school student
and as a daughter because the attitude is selfish.

The word of “God loves you” made me think
how I can be both efficient and inefficient person.

Afterwards I thought that the meaning of the words;
“God loves you” is that God gives me many choices
whether I become a bad person to learn something to dissatisfy
from the situation or I become a good person to find the next aim and the step.

I imagine that everyone has choices thus people are equal.
Subsequently, I am given various choices and I learned
the joy of obedience because Christians believe that
they live their lives thinking about God to satisfy him by making a good decision.

I don’t strongly believe the existence of God, yet,
I want to follow the idea that I should try to make a right decision all the time.
I think that placing one choice upon another choice or
decision gives me attainment and delight.

Next, I knew the joy that I can contribute to
the society by improving my capacities.
When I was in high school, I had studied English
by focusing on how to speak.

My teachers asked me to lead a school mass by praying in English.

I was so glad to have such a great job in a special event.
I could practice speaking English due to the fact
that I had been said the Holy words:
“Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock,
and the door will be opened to you” in the classroom.

The Bible supported my school life and taught me
the joy of diligence because I know that I can always accept rewards
after making efforts.

I climbed a hill and looked at colorful flowers

during the hill street, and I arrived at a high school.

I saw a stone monument.

of the high school every day.

I learned about Christianity for three years at this high school.

The teachings of the Bible and Catholicism are still part of my spiritual nourishment.

I found three joys in learning Christianity.

傘を忘れた昼下がり A rainy afternoon
流れる景色をすり抜けて美容室へ I went to a beauty salon
体格のいいお兄さんhandsome tough guy appeared
気持ちいいシャンプーI had a shampoo my hair by him, how lucky I am
美容院でシャンプーしてもらうときはとってもルンルン　
幸せな気分it is pleasant

ヘアカットが終わるころに紅茶がだされる
I had my hair cut,
A hairdresser brought me a cap of tea
よろしければどうぞ
be my guest, if you like it please have this tea
カップに添えられる一言もすばらしい短い音
this is one of the sweet phrases I'd like to hearanytime
お店によっては飲み物と一緒に飴玉を出してくれるところもあり
some shops serve a cup of coffee or tea with candies
そういえば、薬局や喫茶店日本の商売屋さんたちは飴をそっと、
来る人のためにお店に置いてる
I have seen a lot of pharmacies and food shopsput a small box with tones of sweets in Japan
どんなにすばらしい　心遣いだろう how neat!
飴が置いてあるだけ、一杯のコーヒーや紅茶が出されるだけで
just one candy or cup of drink
わたしは嬉しくなる

they lift me to the heaven
形式化して個人の感情が入らないものにならないでほしい
don't shape these serives into a mannual of Japanese business without warm-heart
仕事の一環かもしれない
it might be a part of job to serve cheap sweets already
でも、よろしければどうぞという軽く、自然にでる心遣いを持って、
美容師さんにはウエイトレスじゃないけどドリンクを出して欲しいなぁbut! please do the wonderful service with intention
素敵な人にわたしは会いたいなぁ
I want to meet marvelous persons
私もその人を真似して私も素敵になりたいなぁ
beacuse I want to learn their fantastic and natural services to strangers
自然にでる心遣いとっても美しいなぁ

だれなんだろう who is the person?

はじめに心遣いをビジネスに導入した人は
who comes up the idea primary?
男女の恋愛はありえない勉強は先生に
従う子供も大人も天皇陛下に警官に誠実に従い貧しく、

身に着けていかなければいけない課題だとしたら

機能している気配りに注目して欲しい

and world and humanities

if you put a color to each
event and person who meet

everyday is colorful

the view is running with various colors

even though
homework catch me
all the time and kill my imagination

I am sure
this moment at AIU
is precious moment in my life

the surroundings will become my core and seed
